This antivirus software protects against all malicious codes intended for file and application servers running on Linux (and other Unix) platforms. It detects and deletes viruses and malicious codes of all known types.

The Atmail antivirus engine identifies and deletes malicious virus code signatures from compressed or uncompressed files, attached or inline. With the help of heuristic analysis, previously-unknown virus programs can be detected before infecting user accounts.
Daily virus signature database updates are downloaded via the Internet using the embedded auto-update utility.

- Integrity Checker – Tracks content changes on your computer by maintaining a database of CRC checksums and detecting modifications to the filesystem, allowing for superior data integrity management.
Other antivirus engines can be configured for Atmail via the inbuilt Exim SMTP server (e.g Norton, Mcaffe, Sophos, Kaspersky) although the ClamAV engine is recommended since complete Web-administration is included, default integration with Atmail and commercial support readily available.
